- Overview: Select and research a two (or more) sided environmental topic or issue. Write 4-5 paragraphs (about 800-1000 words) that advocate for one side of the issue. Advocacy papers should be persuasive, concise, and compelling in order to garner support for your position. Use research, evidence, and specific examples to argue your case. Types of arguments: There are different types of arguments that can be made to argue for a particular topic. These generally take the form of different perspectives like social, environmental, economic, moral/ethical and political concerns. Try to build your arguments on some of these perspectives.
