Presentation: Conducting a Simple Regression and reviewing the literature<\/strong><\/p>\n

Your goal is to apply the concepts from the units reading and lecture as to create a presentation demonstrating the ability to conduct a regression analysis and present your findings. You will also summarize some of the research that you have read during the term. Be sure to review all the unit\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s material before engaging this analysis and be prepared to conduct your own analysis using PSPP. You should already have a copy GRC 605\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s data set and have installed PSPP. Thus, all that remains is for you to import the data set into PSPP and perform regressions for the following:<\/p>\n

First Regression Test:<\/p>\n

• Dependent Variable: DEBT<\/li>\n
• Independent Variable: INCOME<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Second Regression Test:<\/p>\n

  • Can we predict an individual\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s savings by knowing their income?<\/li>\n
  • Dependent Variable: SAVINGS<\/li>\n
  • Independent Variable: INCOME<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Third Regression Test:<\/p>\n

    • Can we predict an individual\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s portfolio value by knowing their savings?<\/li>\n
    • Dependent Variable: STOCKS<\/li>\n
    • Independent Variable: SAVINGS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      You should find two significant results. Present your results using a 5-7-minute presentation discussing all three results.<\/p>\n

      After you have conducted your analysis, select three of the articles you have read during the term. These were in your syllabus. For each of those three articles, write an annotated bibliography (may take a couple of slides). Then create another slide to summarize why you chose those articles and how you found them helpful during the course.<\/p>\n

      Your presentation must: (a) present a proper title page; (b) offer an agenda; (c) state and justify the null and alternative hypotheses for the relevant hypothesis tests along with APA formatted presentations with the findings; (d) contain a slide covering main takeaways from the presentation; and (e) conclude by thanking the audience and opening the presentation to questions.<\/p>\n

      Your presentation will be graded using the rubric. Upload the narrated video presentation to YouTube, Vimeo, or similar video sharing site. Please post a brief message and the video URL to this forum. Also, you are encouraged to offer constructive critiques and questions for classmates. You may find an APA formatted example of a regression in the forum. Please use it to format your findings.<\/p>\n
