Assignment:<\/strong><\/p>\n Twenty-five children in Fallsburg Elementary School (with a population of 60 pupils) received their immunization against whooping cough to protect the school\u2019s student population. In your role as health officer, you collected the documentation from parents on the first day of school. You found that 25 students had received their immunization against the disease. You have been asked to explain some basic epidemiologic concepts to the parents who did not have their children immunized.<\/p>\n You have been tasked to do the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n Be sure to justify your response with evidence from the literature.<\/p>\n Expectations:<\/strong><\/p>\n Length: 3 pages, excluding title page and references from required Reading.<\/p>\n File format:<\/strong> Your work should be prepared using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or Excel, depending upon the assignment instructions. Online sources must be limited to credible professional and scholarly publications such as peer-reviewed journal articles, e-books, or specific webpages on websites from a university, government, or nonprofit organization (these have extensions .edu, .gov, or .org). Presenting consumer sources such as e-magazines, newspapers, Wikipedia, WebMD, or other commercial websites (these have extensions .com) as references is not appropriate.<\/p>\n Scholarly writing:<\/strong> Use an academic paper format, not an essay based on your opinions or experience. Avoid using the first person in writing. Synthesize what you learned from the sources you read; write papers in your own words; and cite sources within the text, as well as include a properly formatted reference list.<\/p>\n Use of direct quotes:<\/strong> Use of direct quotes should be avoided. Only use direct quotes when preserving the exact words of an author is necessary.
