\nstrategic plan. They will also be presented with the task of creating a brief
\ncommunication plan that will be used by their proposed division to efficiently
\ndistribute information with regard to their strategic initiatives. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Create<\/strong> a minimum 1,050-word strategic objectives
\nsummary. <\/p>\n

Include<\/strong> your balanced scorecard and its impact on all
\nstakeholders, and the communication plan.<\/p>\n

Identify<\/strong> key trends, assumptions, and risks in the
\ncontext of your final business model.<\/p>\n

Develop<\/strong> the strategic objectives for your new
\ndivision of the existing business in a balanced scorecard format in the context
\nof key trends, assumptions, and risks. The strategic objectives are measures of
\nattaining your vision and mission. As you develop them, consider the vision,
\nmission, and values for your business and the outcomes of your SWOTT
\nanalysis. <\/p>\n

Consider <\/strong>the following four quadrants of the
\nbalanced scorecard when developing your strategic objectives:<\/p>\n

          Evaluate<\/strong> potential alternatives to the issues
          \nand\/or opportunities identified in the SWOTT Analysis assignment and table you
          \ncompleted in Week 3.<\/p>\n

          Create<\/strong> at least three strategic objectives for
          \neach of the four balanced scorecard areas. Base <\/strong>your solutions
          \non a ranking of alternative solutions including the following:<\/p>\n

            Develop<\/strong> a specific metric and target for
            \neach strategic objective using a balanced scorecard format. <\/p>\n

            Example: a strategic
            \nobjective in the shareholder or financial perspective is to increase market
            \nshare. A metric to actually measure this strategic objective of market
            \nshare increase is, “The percentage of increase in market
            \nshare.” The target is the specific number to be achieved in a
            \nparticular time period. The target for the metric of “Increase market
            \nshare” could be “Increase market share by 2% for each of the next 3
            \nyears” of an increase of 2% per year for 3 years.<\/p>\n

            Outline<\/strong> a brief communication plan discussing how
            \nyou will communicate the company’s strategic objectives including the
            \nfollowing:<\/p>\n

              Part 2<\/p>\n

              The purpose of this
              \nassignment is to analyze and select an appropriate method of alternative
              \ndispute resolution (ADR) for a business dispute, to examine unethical business
              \nbehavior, and to develop risk management procedures to avoid or reduce claims
              \nand litigation.<\/p>\n

              Read <\/strong>the following scenario:<\/strong><\/p>\n

              Dazzling Dough Co. sells
              \npizza dough to local pizza restaurants. Most of the restaurants buy at least
              \n150 pounds of pizza dough from Dazzling Dough Co. in each order. Jerry’s Pizza
              \ncontacted Dazzling Dough Co. to purchase 200 pounds of pizza dough, along with
              \nsome other items. Dazzling Dough Co. sent Jerry’s Pizza a written contract,
              \nprepared by Dazzling Dough Co.’s lawyer, stating that “Jerry’s Pizza
              \nagrees to purchase 200 pounds of pizza dough, pizza toppings, desserts and soft
              \ndrinks for $30,000.” Jerry’s Pizza signed and returned the contract.<\/p>\n

              A few days later,
              \nDazzling Dough Co. sent Jerry’s Pizza 125 pounds of pizza dough and 75 pounds
              \nof pizza toppings, desserts, and soft drinks. Jerry’s Pizza contacted Dazzling
              \nDough Co. about the error in the contract and demanded an extra 75 pounds of
              \npizza dough. Dazzling Dough Co. said there was no error, that Jerry’s Pizza
              \nsigned the contract so they agreed to the terms, and it was not sending the
              \nextra pizza dough.<\/p>\n

              After several attempts
              \nto resolve the dispute and a pressing need for dough, Jerry’s Pizza terminated
              \nthe contract and sent Dazzling Dough Co. a check for $15,000 for the 125 pounds
              \nof pizza dough, pizza toppings, desserts and soft drinks. Jerry’s Pizza
              \nimmediately purchased 75 pounds of pizza dough from another company for
              \n$12,000. Both parties are threatening to sue each other for breach of contract.
              \nThey prefer to resolve the dispute out of court because the contract contains a
              \nclause that awards reimbursement of attorney’s fees to the winning party.<\/p>\n

              The board of directors
              \nof Jerry’s Pizza scheduled a meeting with you and other senior management at
              \nthe company to discuss the dispute. You’ll need to prepare a strategic plan
              \noverview (an abbreviated strategic plan, not a full plan) for the board that
              \nexplains why there is a dispute, suggests various settlement proposals, and
              \nprovides recommendations on how Jerry’s Pizza can avoid this kind of dispute in
              \nthe future.<\/p>\n
