\n Yeah, I mean, I’m sad.\n <\/p>\n

\n I’m anxious, like I really haven’t slept.\n <\/p>\n

\n ‘Cause every time I close my eyes, I smell smoke.\n <\/p>\n

\n ‘Cause the fire, like the smell of the smoke,\u00a0it’s what woke me up.\n <\/p>\n

\n So like going to sleep is just terrifying for me\u00a0because I feel like it’s just a nightmare\u00a0that I keep reliving.\n <\/p>\n

\n Right, so as far as sleep,\u00a0have you spoken to a medical professional?\u00a0Have they talked to you about anything to help\u00a0was in the moment?\u00a0I talked to my doctor, so my doctor’s still out of state,\u00a0so he couldn’t prescribe me anything,\u00a0but he suggest that I take melatonin.\n <\/p>\n

\n So I’m gonna get some today to try to see if that helps.\n <\/p>\n

\n Okay, do you have any kind of past history\u00a0of emotional disorders of depression, anxiety,\u00a0any previous PTSD trauma,\u00a0any previous post traumatic episodes?\u00a0Not that I’ve been diagnosed with,\u00a0like I am a pretty anxious person anyway,\u00a0but it’s something that I’m able to\u00a0do usually have a really good handle on.\n <\/p>\n

\n Okay, so you have coping techniques\u00a0that you use for your anxiety to keep it in check?\u00a0Yeah, yeah, I usually like exercise and stuff,\u00a0but like all of my stuff kind of went up in smoke\u00a0for a lack of better words.\n <\/p>\n

\n Yeah, no pun intended.\n <\/p>\n

\n Yeah.\n <\/p>\n

\n It sounds like a little bit of humor.\n <\/p>\n

\n Yeah, that kind of helps me cope too,\u00a0’cause I mean, it’s nothing I can do about it.\n <\/p>\n

\n Luckily, no one was hurt.\n <\/p>\n

\n Like all this stuff can be replaced ’cause it’s stuff.\n <\/p>\n

\n But I moved out here like a month ago\u00a0to take this new job,\u00a0so like I’m here and like my support systems aren’t\u00a0so it’s really, really hard\u00a0’cause I have like, even this shirt that I have on,\u00a0it’s not mine.\n <\/p>\n

\n Like the only thing that I have is\u00a0the pajamas that I was wearing when I ran out the house\u00a0and the jewelry that I have on like, that’s pretty much it.\n <\/p>\n

\n So I’m having to get like new ID cards\u00a0and just like everything.\n <\/p>\n

\n So it’s just really stressful\u00a0and trying to be at a new job where I don’t time to take off\u00a0’cause I just started.\n <\/p>\n

\n So safety factors, do you have a safe place to stay?\u00a0Right now, the Homeowners Insurance\u00a0put me in a temporary living\u00a0situation until like the investigation\u00a0and all that stuff is done.\n <\/p>\n

\n What emotions are you experiencing the most right now?\u00a0Oh, like anger, because like,\u00a0I feel like it’s my roommate’s fault\u00a0because they were shooting fireworks\u00a0and then just kind of, after they finished\u00a0cleaning everything up, put it in the trashcan\u00a0and that caught fire.\n <\/p>\n

\n So it was like,\u00a0hey, if you guys think a little bit,\u00a0we could have probably avoided it.\n <\/p>\n

\n I’m like really, really angry with them, for that piece.\n <\/p>\n

\n And like, I’m sad because like all my stuff is gone,\u00a0stuff that I worked really hard for.\n <\/p>\n

\n And I don’t know is this\u00a0so many different emotions right now.\n <\/p>\n

\n I don’t, like I’m overwhelmed, I’m stressed, I’m anxious.\n <\/p>\n

\n and to manage that and still go to work\u00a0and to have this job that’s brand new for you.\n <\/p>\n

\n Alright, coping skills,\u00a0you said in the past you’ve used things like humor,\u00a0you do some deep breathing,\u00a0you use maybe it’s sounded to me like maybe,\u00a0you know how to meditate a little bit in the moment.\n <\/p>\n

\n What other coping skills do you have,\u00a0that you’ve used in the past when you…\n <\/p>\n

\n Working out helps.\n <\/p>\n

\n So, I mean, since now I don’t have access,\u00a0I’ve just been trying to take some walks,\u00a0but then in doing that I’m getting inside my head\u00a0and just like getting more angry.\n <\/p>\n

\n That’s like some of the things that I did before\u00a0are not working like meditating in a moment,\u00a0but when I’m closing my eyes,\u00a0it’s like reliving everything all over again,\u00a0smelling the smoke and running out of the house\u00a0and seeing that flame,\u00a0so all of that is just keeps coming back.\n <\/p>\n

\n ‘Cause I can’t even focus to meditate.\n <\/p>\n

\n Right, so you’re going to have\u00a0to learn some new coping skills,\u00a0but also we really have to just process through\u00a0all these emotions and the event that happened itself,\u00a0the losses and change in your life.\n <\/p>\n

\n Absolutely.\n <\/p>\n

\n Okay, do you feel like\u00a0this Telehealth Modality works okay for you?\u00a0Yeah, because during my lunch I get an hour for lunch,\u00a0but it doesn’t give me enough time to like go anywhere\u00a0and see someone, and so my boss said that\u00a0I could use his office, so this is perfect.\n <\/p>\n

\n ‘Cause I don’t have like a computer\u00a0or any of that stuff at home.\n <\/p>\n
