Early intervention is a “system of coordinated services that promotes the child’s age-appropriate growth and development and supports families during the early critical years”.
(IFSP) Individual Family Service Plan “a plan for special services for young children with developmental delays. It applies to children from birth to three years of age”.
Children in our community can access early intervention services by contacting the local CDSA.
Services can receive from early intervention are physical, occupational and speech-language therapy, family support, special instruction, and assistive technology.
IFSP is a written plan that lists services and supports eligible children and families.
