What are CTSOs? The United States Department of Education recognizes Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) as an integral part of Career and Technical Education programs and courses across the country. These CTSOs extend teaching and learning through innovative programs, business and community partnerships, and leadership experiences at the school, state, and national levels. They share many common goals, such as developing the leadership, cooperation, and citizenship of their members. CTSOs are a powerful avenue for helping the nation address key challenges such as workforce development, student achievement, economic vitality, and global competitiveness.
