Assignment #1– Research in Public Administration Required Readings: Chapter 1 in Textbook 1 (See attached) Book: The Essential Guide to Doing Research by Zina O’Leary Assignment: Based on the reading materials for this week, please write a short essay as a response to one of the following questions: 1. Provide a reflection on why research in public administration is important. Be sure to provide examples. Also, discuss how research can further advance public policy, nonprofit organization work, and/or the need for public service. Provide 1-2 citations to support your claims. Include references. 2. Discuss 1-2 possible research topics you are interested and why? Be thorough in your responses and provide 2-3 citations to support your claims.
