Modern organizations need leaders who understand disruption, embody agility, and are naturals with new digital tools.^[1]

Disruption is increasingly the new norm in the global marketplace of ideas and actions, and the dynamic field of interactive communication is the leading channel of change. Your charge in this project is to research, understand, analyze, and apply these new net/web ideas to an existing organization of your choice.

The four journal macro topic areas are:

• Audience Demographics
• Social Media and Culture
• Emerging Technologies
• Recognizing Future Disruption

For each topic, there will be a specific, timely subtopic to be used as your assignment. For example, Audience Demographics, in a given module/week, might focus on new ideas concerning influencers, Generation Z, micro-targeting, omni-channels, Generation C, or other emerging demographics.

You will write a journal entry of at least 2 pages in current APA format that focuses on that module/week’s topic. Evaluation will center on the degree to which the entry is succinct and demonstrates a full understanding of the topic as well as the potential for successful applications.

To get you started, one primary web news site has been provided in the Reading and Study folder that exhibits an exemplary journalistic approach to covering emerging facets of the assignment.

Submit each Journal Assignment by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of the assigned module/week
