Search the internet to determine how the cost of oil has fluctuated over the last calendar year (2021). Then, visit the NERC website (https://www.nerc.com/pa/rrm/TLR/Pages/Reliability-Coordinators.aspx) and identify the respective reliability coordinator for the State of Florida, United States. Once identified, proceed to your reliability coordinator’s website and determine how energy prices varied over the same calendar year in your reliability coordinator’s area. Next, search for current events that may explain how and why each has fluctuated. Describe what role oil costs played in these fluctuations. And last, locate reputable sources that corroborate your conclusion(s).

Applying your research results, post a discussion thread that is no less than 350 words and no more than 500 words (not including the References list), addressing the following questions:

  • How has the cost of oil fluctuated over the last calendar year?
  • How have energy prices in your reliability coordinator’s area varied over the same calendar year?
  • What correlation exists between oil costs and energy prices?
  • How do you expect each to fluctuate over the next calendar year?

Make sure to support your assertions with reputable sources.

Below is Chapter 8 Notes:

The Information Processing Theory:

Assumptions

–Information is processed in steps or stages–There are limits on how much information can be processed at each stage–The human information processing system is interactive

– Short-term memory/working memory and its control processes

Rehearsal

•  Maintenance Rehearsal (rote rehearsal, repetition):Information is repeated over and over again with no effect on long-term memory storage

•  Elaborative Rehearsal(elaborative encoding):New information is related to knowledge already stored in long-term memory

Short-term memory/working memory and its control processes

Organization

•Putting interrelated pieces of information into chunks

Meaningfulness

•When new material can be related to information in long-term memory

Rehearsal/ Organization/Meaningful Learning/Visual Imagery

Rehearsa

l: prevents the quick disappearance of information from short-term memory. (Most children don’t begin to rehearse on their own until about age 7)

Organization

: material broken into chunks which makes it easier to remember.

Meaningful Learning

: occurs when the learner relates new information to prior ideas and experiences.

Visual Imagery

: easier to recall than abstractions. (Teachers help students develop learning skills that incorporate visual imagery and other memory-aiding techniques)

Interference from Other Material

:

– new material that is very similar to old material

Lack of Retrieval Cues:

– information that was part of the original material is not available later

The head of HR has asked that you give him or her a presentation on which major training theory you would recommend to apply to this scenario to equip the sales associates with the necessary skills to increase sales.Select one training theory. This can be any of the four discussed in this unit or a training theory of your choice that interests you. Then, in your PowerPoint presentation, include the elements listed below.

  • Discuss the training theory and its primary tenets.
  • Explain why you recommend this theory.
  • Discuss two to three activities that you would build from this theory. For example, if you chose action theory, you may create group activities where sales associates run through sales scenarios with each other to see what works and what does not. Feel free to be as creative as you would like with your given theory.
  • Explain how your activities will address each learning style (i.e., visual, audible, and kinesthetic learning styles).

Your presentation must be at least 10 slides in length, not counting the title and reference slides. You are required to use at least one outside source and to utilize the notes section within PowerPoint. Within the notes section, include additional explanations for each slide. As you create your presentation, keep in mind that you are presenting for executives at your organization. All sources used, including the required unit resources, must be cited and referenced according to APA guidelines.

I have provided the notes in the attachment, please use the notes and zero plagarism, in your own words.

Your IRB application will require an organizational letter of support. This letter may be drafted by your Sponsor, if the sponsor has a position with this type of responsibility. Alternately, another designated official at the sponsoring organization with a scope of responsibilities that would allow for project approval may  write the letter. (For example, a nurse practitioner within the practice may serve as your sponsor, but the practice owner may be the head of the sponsoring organization and draft the letter).

Hello, I am looking for someone to write an article on What effect did World War II have on the nation’s industries, and how did the war revolutionize the U.S. economy both immediately and in the long term. It needs to be at least 250 words.

What effect did World War II have on the nations industries, and how did the war revolutionize the U.S. economy both immediately and in the long term?RatnaHistory and Political ScienceInstructor Name24 August 2012World War II killed over 50 million people worldwide, with the U.S. too suffering its own loss in Pearl Harbor. But, the nation emerged as an economic superpower only after the war. The three major factors which influenced the U.S. economy immediately after the war were resurrection from the great depression, women empowerment and explosion of consumer goods market.

The pre-war period was the era of great depression. The U.S. government managed to come out this severe economic crisis by selling goods and arms to both the parties involved in the war until Pearl Harbor. Women came out to work in masses. Nearly 19 million women were employed in various jobs in 1944. Most of the money the women earned went to savings, improving the economy of the country preposterously.1When the soldiers started to return home after the war, the families were eager to spend on happy reunions.

Also thousands of men returning from the battlefields needed employment. This led to massive increase in the consumer products market.i There were just 8 shopping malls in the U.S. by the end of the war, which increased to over 3500 by 1960. The Eisenhower era2 which prevented another catastrophic atomic war boosted the growth of several industries which transformed into huge corporate companies in the later part of the century.ii The rapid emergence of the equality in rights propaganda in the post war period, led to the framing of Civil Rights Act of 1964, the most revolutionary legislative piece in the U.S history. It eliminated all racial, ethnic and gender based discrimination in the working area, making the country a haven for labor rights.

You have discussed Mr. McMahon’s case with your supervisor, and she agrees on your recommended course of action. She instructs you to inform the court of the violations that have been committed by Mr. McMahon in the form of a violation report, which will also include your recommendations. Your violation report should include the proper headings: “To,” “From,” “Date,” and “Re:.” The docket number and case file number should appear in the “Re:” section. Given what you know about Mr. McMahon, address the following in a Word document that is 750–900 words in length:

  • Create a formal violation report that provides the court with all of the necessary information. Your report should be addressed to Judge J. Stone of the Lynchburg Circuit Court, and it should include the following sections:

    • A narrative section for identifying information, which includes the original offense and disposition
    • A narrative section for the violation information, which will include a listing of conditions violated
    • A narrative section including your recommendations for the case
  • For the purpose of this assignment, Mr. McMahon’s court docket number is 12358, and his case file number is 34711. Base the time frame of the violations off of today’s date, and feel free to add detail to your memo, provided that it does not change the character of the alleged violations.

Format your report in the form of a letter to a Circuit Court Judge. Remember this is a legal document to be submitted to the court, so be mindful of your grammar, syntax, and tone.

CASE INFORMATION Special Conditions Mr. McMahon is a 25-year-old male sentenced to two years in prison for cocaine possession. However, Mr. McMahon’s sentence is suspended on special conditions that the court has imposed. The first special condition for a suspended prison sentence is that Mr. McMahon must serve two years’ probation. Second, Mr. McMahon must pay a fine, a total of $500. Mr. McMahon must also complete any drug treatment program that his probation officer directs. Moreover, Mr. McMahon must comply with any random drug test that the probation officer initiates. The special conditions imposed by the court underscore one primary condition that Mr. McMahon must not indulge in drug use during the duration of his probation. Standard Conditions Apart from special probation conditions, Mr. McMahon is also expected to adhere to standard probation conditions that apply to all offenders. The first condition is that he should report to the probation office in the federal judicial district close to his residence after a period not exceeding 72 hours. After reporting, Mr. McMahon must make contact with his probation officer. In line with this condition, he must seek permission from his probation officer if he intends to leave the federal judicial district; this also applies to when he wants to change his residence. The next standard set of conditions for Mr. McMahon relate to involvement with any criminal activity. Mr. McMahon must not commit any crime in the duration of his probation, including possession or use of illegal substances. Specifically, Mr. McMahon is prohibited from owning any weapons; this includes firearms or any devices intended to cause harm. It is also important not to engage or associate with criminals or individuals with a criminal record (Vance, 2017). Mr. McMahon is obliged to report any contact between him and law enforcement within 72 hours to his probation officer. Another standard condition is that Mr. McMahon should work full time; since he already works in the construction industry, Mr. McMahon must contact his probation officer if he wants to change jobs. Regarding his relationship with his probation officer, Mr. McMahon is expected to follow instructions. Moreover, he must honestly answer any questions posed by his probation officer. If the probation officer intends to search his premises for any illicit substances, Mr. McMahon should comply with the directive. A court-assigned probation work is designed to act as a supervisor and an assessor of Mr. McMahon in the duration of probation. Supervision Plan In the two years of Mr. McMahon’s probation, I plan to use evidence-based principles to ensure effective intervention. The first course of action is to assess Mr. McMahon’s risks and needs (Alarid, 2016). Before implementing any strategy, it is important to screen Mr. McMahon to determine the best-personalized intervention. The in-house risk assessment tool has already classified Mr. McMahon as a moderate-risk offender. From this assessment, my focus will seek to address Mr. McMahon’s risk needs, primarily drug abuse. However, the assessment process is continuous; I will also gather information in my informal interactions with Mr. McMahon and use observations to reinforce intervention. Enhance Intrinsic Motivation After the assessment, my next focus will be to enhance Mr. McMahon’s intrinsic motivation. I intended to use my interpersonal skills, such as clear communication, to relate with the offender. Any change will be effective only if Mr. McMahon is willing and motivated. If Mr. McMahon expresses ambivalence toward the process, I will conduct a motivational interview. The primary function of the interview will be to help Mr. McMahon identify the contradiction between his behavior and the change he expects to attain. Target Interventions The most important step in Mr. McMahon’s supervision is to target interventions. Since Mr. McMahon is a moderate risk offender, he requires supervision every 72 hours. The supervision will involve random residence checks as well as meetings in the probation office. Also, it is crucial to visit Mr. McMahon at his workplace to ensure he is keeping busy and adhering to the conditions of probation. Targeting interventions also require classifying Mr. McMahon’s criminogenic needs. In this case, the most destructive criminogenic need is drug abuse. Therefore, all services will be geared to ensure Mr. McMahon does not relapse into substance abuse. In the initial three months of probation, Mr. McMahon will attend a compulsory drug treatment program that utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy. The treatment schedule will take place during Mr. McMahon’s free time. The aim is to ensure the offender is constantly engaged and following a strict routine. Progress Appraisal When Mr. McMahon makes significant progress with behavior change, I plan to give him a positive appraisal to motivate him and make him accountable for his decisions. A successful intervention also requires Mr. McMahon to undergo a drug test. The best solution is to conduct random drug tests whenever Mr. McMahon illustrates impulsive behavior or mood changes. Mr. McMahon will also be joining a local substance abuse support group that meets regularly to introduce others around him that reinforces behavior change. References Alarid, L. F. Part 1:

Mary is planning a study to see if learning of 6th graders on a math lesson is affected by background noise level. She wants to use a t-test for independent groups to analyze her results. Help her plan her study. What is her independent variable (IV) here? Describe two conditions she could create for the IV in her study. What is her dependent variable (DV) here? Describe a way to measure the DV so that each participant would have one score at the end. Would this DV measure be on a continuous scale of measurement? Why is this important? Explain and justify. 300- 500 words

Part 2:

Consider Mary’s experiment regarding whether learning of 6th graders on a math lesson is affected by background noise level. Mary has collected her data. What is the null hypothesis for her study? What is the alternative hypothesis for her study? What are the assumptions that must be met about her data before she can correctly use an independent t-test to test the hypotheses? Why? How would she see if her data met these assumptions? How much room does she have to violate any of these assumptions and still get accurate results from the t-test? Explain and support your answers. 300- 500 words
